Midwifing Friends

One of my best friends just told me she's pregnant! Not only was I one of the first people she told, but she asked me to be her midwife! I am so honored.

I have had clients turn into friends, but this will be the first time I work with a close friend in this way. I'm really nervous about "doing it right" and I hope the nervousness gets better as we start doing prenatals.

This is my friend's second baby. I was just weeks pregnant with Olivia when I went to her homebirth as her doula. She loved her midwife for her first birth, and she had a very positive experience, which makes it even more meaningful that she chose me this time. 

I'm very humbled.
